USE OF TITLES & MARKS
Permitted use of SRAS titles and marks.
This policy governs use of SRAS award names, status descriptions, verification references, badges, logos and other brand assets. Permission is personal or entity-specific, limited, non-transferable and subject to current status, the Code of Conduct and any written brand guidance.
1. Permitted titles
Only a person or entity recorded by SRAS as current may use the exact title awarded—SRAS Approved, SRAS Assessed or SRAS Certified—without altering the level or implying a statutory licence. A lapsed, suspended, withdrawn, expired or unawarded status must not be described as current. Historical factual references must state that the status is no longer current.
2. Use in professional contexts
A current title may be used accurately in a CV, website, proposal, credit or production document. It does not endorse every project, employer, production, animal, supplier or service connected with the holder and must not imply that SRAS supervised or approved a specific production. Engagers remain responsible for verification and role-specific checks.
3. Marks and logos
SRAS logos, badges and marks may be used only with written permission or through an authorised asset issued for the holder’s current status. Assets must not be altered, sublicensed, sold, combined into another certification mark or used more prominently than necessary to communicate status. Permission ends when status or written permission ends.
4. Misrepresentation
Suspected title or mark misuse may be reported to office@sras.org.uk with supporting material. SRAS may request correction or removal, restrict brand permission, review status or use legal remedies where appropriate. Any conduct or status decision follows the applicable published process. Productions may request status confirmation from the SRAS office while public verification is being developed.
